Hello bar takers!
The February Bar Exam is now 71 days away. If you are taking the February 2022 bar exam, you should be studying now. That probably sounds obvious. But, instead of just studying, take it up a notch. Why? Because there is a lot on the line and you can not afford to waste any time by studying incorrectly.
There is studying and there is strategic studying. Most examinees prep by spending countless hours reviewing subjects but, failing to bridge the gap between their outlines and what the California Bar Examiners truly expect. Of course, substantive review is important. But, knowing how to spot the issues on the essays and how to construct an above passing answer is critical. To succeed, you must have concise rules and approaches for the essays and the MBEs. A definition that is a paragraph long does not make a passing essay or help you analyze MBEs.
Memorizing paragraph long rule statements, and then attempting to apply that unwieldy rule to the facts, is a recipe for disaster. Instead, knowing what the California Bar Examiners embrace and expect is your ticket to success. Concise rules save you time and provide focus and attention to the issues at hand. It is also what the California Bar Examiners look for and expect in an above passing answer.
If you have started your bar review and you have not begun to condense topics down to something manageable, you need to start doing this soon. Concise and manageable rule statements are necessary for both the essays and the MBEs.
If you have not begun your studies, you need to get going on it now. The sooner you start learning how to approach topics the better. How can you launch your passing strategy? Sign up for the Bar Exam Cram Session. We still have room in our upcoming Bar Exam Cram Session on Saturday, January 8, 2022.
